THE PROPHETS CHAMBERS † Christian Chat Network
Hosted by Pam Clark & Trumpet Wind Ministries - www.prophetic.net
A fun place to share worship, praise, prayer, ministry and things of prophetic interest. Welcome!
This is a Family Friendly Site for Christian and Prophetic Social Sharing and Networking - Please report any problems you encounter.
Also.... Just because you see me online here does not mean I am in the Chat Room, so please don't be offended if I did not answer you! :)
FYI: In the Chat Room, you can private chat by clicking on the other person's name. Above you will see the tabs of the PC rooms you are in.
I'm sorry, but I can't control the chatroom colors or fonts. As progressed as this room is, they may come up with that in the near future.
You can make different faces with the smiley faces box!
A new feature of the chatroom now is the pop out tab! It really makes it easy for you to adjust the room to your preferred size and it's easier to read the text.
As far as text size:
On your browser tool bar above where it says View, in Internet Explorer there is a thing for Text Size and you can increase the size there.
OR in the bottom right corner of IE, you can zoom the page there, too.
Look for the place that has a little magnifying glass and says 100% - if you click on that arrow, you can make your internet page bigger with the Zoom sizer.
In the Firefox browser, in the top tool bar under View, you can change the size of the text, or the page, under Zoom.
IMPORTANT!
If you do not click SAVE at the bottom of your page for your updates, the changes will NOT appear! :)
Use online/offline for when are are able to chat. When you are offline in the Chat, you can still be active on the site.

GO TO THE CHAT TAB ABOVE TO CHAT You can increase your font size in the top tool bar View Menu or in the bottom right corner. Update your personal settings under MyProfile. HELLO EAGLES! Welcome! We are trying out a new format for The Prophets Chambers here and it is getting off to an exciting start! Hopefully this will work well for us. This is a social networking site and should be a lot more fun! It's new to me right now, so I am learning it still too.
You will see some changes happening as we all get adjusted here to all the new things we can do. You will have a lot more freedom to express yourself so let people see the interesting person you are. Decorate your personal page and add new friends. (Go to Settings on "My Profile" to change it around.) This is a site for Christian ministry interaction, joy, prayer, praise, and ministry - to lift up Jesus and have fun doing it. It's a different flavor than what we had before, but I do have to remind people (sadly) that you will be banned for inappropriate nics, conversations, pictures, or activities - and you won't come back. It is a very different format than the last room. It does have banning features that can apply to the whole network, if needed. Please do give and take with each other in a good spirit, give others respect, be kind, and don't hog the conversation. If there are problems in the chatroom, you will have to copy and paste it for me to see it. Mail it to pamclark@prophetic.net and title it Chatroom Problem. PLEASE be careful who you invite so that we don't have any major problems. In this room, you will be able to add music and photos and share other fun things to your pages and share it with others. I also believe you will be able to copy and paste easier. The ads are not ours, they belong to the main system and pay for the format use. As I learn all the features, I will implement what works best for us. We have a sweet core group and there is always room for one more! I am glad to see so many of you coming on here and having patience with the learning curve of this system. I believe you can also invite your friends from your profile, just please use wisdom on that, but feel free to do it. We'll see how it goes! It's a really easy set up here - especially compared to other ones I have seen, so ask others if you need any help. So have fun, pray for it, make friends, and lift up JESUS! Love and Blessings~ Pam Clark |
Under the ad here, type in your favorite Christian music artist and enjoy the music! For example, I like Hillsong and when I type that in over the orange letters, it brings up a list of their songs I can play!
Here is a little game you can enjoy...
| "And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Highest; For you will go before the face of the Lord to prepare His ways, To give knowledge of salvation to His people by the remission of their sins, Through the tender mercy of our God, with which the Dayspring from on high has visited us; To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, To guide our feet into the way of peace." Luke 1:76-79 (NKJ) "And He [Jesus] Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect [matured] man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head-- Christ-- from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love." Ephesians 4:11-16 (NKJ) QUESTION: Are you working "for" Jesus or "with" Him? Those who really know Him, work with Him, because after serving Him, they understand Him as a Friend. |

During the holiday season, many families decorate their homes with a Moravian star. While these unique multi-pointed stars are beautiful, they also have a rich history. The Moravian Church began as a Protestant denomination in Bohemia and Moravia during the late 14th century. Jan Hus, founder of the Moravian movement, rejected the Roman Catholic Church and wanted to return to simpler religious practices. Hus was eventually tried by the Church and burned at the stake in 1415. Nearly 50 years later, a group of Hus’s followers organized themselves into the “Unity of Brethren” or the “Bohemian Brethren” to continue to rebel against the Catholic Church. (Interestingly, Jan Hus and his followers attempted to reform the Catholic Church one hundred years before Martin Luther.) For centuries, the members of the Bohemian Brethren were forced into hiding, until nobleman Count Nikolaus Ludwig von Zinzendorf allowed the group to settle on his lands in 1722. The Brethren established a small village known as Herrnhut (present day Saxony) where the group, along with Count Zinzendorf, worked to create an accepting community. Herrnhut rapidly became the center for the Moravian movement, and the name itself translates into “the Lord’s Watch,” where residents were to watch for God as God was to watch out for them. The Moravian star originated in Saxony, Germany, in the two towns of Niesky and Kleinwalka in the 1830s. The stars were used as craft projects to help demonstrate geometry lessons to young boys attending Moravian school. The stars were quickly adopted by the Moravian Church as a symbol of the birth of Jesus and represented the star of Bethlehem. Traditionally, the star is hung the first Sunday of Advent and remains up until Epiphany, January 6, or the time of the coming of the Magi. In 1880, Pieter Verbeek, a graduate of the Moravian boys school in Niesky, opened a small bookstore where he began to sell the Stars. Pieter’s son, Harry, improved his father’s business and opened a star factory in Herrnhut, Germany. Through the Herrnhut Star Factory, the Verbeeks were able to mass-produce Moravian stars and the directions for making them, and they exported these products to America and other countries. Because of the popularity of the star designs, the Herrnhut Star Factory began printing directions for making Moravian stars in four different languages. The first documented Christmas tree at Williamsburg, Virginia, was decorated with Moravian stars in 1842 by a German immigrant who taught at the College of William and Mary. The Herrnhut Star Factory continued to be successful until World War II, when the Soviet army burned down the structure. In the 1950s, the factory was run for a short time by the East German government until they transferred ownership of the factory to the Moravian Church. Moravian stars range from six points to over 100, but the traditional Moravian star has 26 points. Today, the Abraham Durninger Company in Herrnhut, Germany, continues the time-honored custom of selling hand-make Moravian stars from their factory. Many innovations in the styles, sizes, and colors of the stars have been created over the years. From lighted to unlighted, large to small and white to red, the Moravian star continues to represent the holiday season for all. |
